Bicycle, Bicycle

About mid-summer, I was getting tired of paying for gas. $4 a gallon for gas is my limit. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I made Mikah ride the bus home from summer school. It required two buses, but he didn't melt. I then made Connor ride the bus from Lacrosse camp, which is downtown. He did great. So if I'm going to make them, I better be willing to do it myself. So I started with the bus. The bus schedule runs just off from my work schedule, so I would be getting there fairly early and leaving the kids more.

So I went and bought me a bike. This is the style, but mine is white. I started looking and found one that I liked, it was a good price, when to the store and they were gone. I studied another bike, it was a good price and then it was gone. Who would have thought that buying a bike would be so hard. This time of year, the numbers get few and the next years models don't arrive until September sometime. In Boise, there has been a run on women specific bikes and so there are hardly any left. So I set my price point a little higher and started calling and found the bike.

We had told the boys that they could ride the bus or bikes to school. The bus ride makes them ride for an hour before school, so it will be bikes. I haven't been sore riding to work. We rode to school registrations, orthodontist appt., the pool. It's not that slower than if we had driven. I find myself looking at were I can ride next and the boys have enjoyed some freedom.
