Happy 40th Birthday to ME!

I have been dreading turning 40. I know it's all in my head, but still. I has been one of the best birthdays.

My brother, John and his family came through last weekend and gave me a wonderful, homemade card by the girls and some IKEA items. How can you not LOVE Ikea?!

Since I am working Saturdays, I now have a day off during the week. So on Thursday, I treated myself to a massage with foot pampering. My friend, Carmen took me to lunch and we were able to visit for awhile.

Thursday night, James had told me to be ready to go at 6:30 pm on Friday. He said he had plans on Saturday. I didn't think much of it. So the time came and he was just walking around, so I asked are we doing something or not. He said, "I have to make a confession, the plans I have for tomorrow are with you, but your friends are suppose to be here now." "Are you sure I have friends?" Just then my good friends, Mashell, Melissa and Ginny came to surprise me and take me to dinner. We stay out late just talking. It was great!

Saturday, James had me open my gift which was a kindle. It's a pretty cool toy. I will be great for our upcoming cruise. After work, he went out and brought back some balloons and cards from him and the kids. Also a key lime pie. YUMM! We went to a late dinner at Tucanos, a Brazilian churrascoria. James sang to me in the car, so they didn't have to at the restuarant.

I got cards and calls and facebook wishes. This has been one of the best birthdays!! Thanks to everyone.
