Brisket Fundraiser

In an effort a find a better way of funding sports and choir fees, we have come up with a family fundraiser. I wanted something that was unique and that someone would want to buy. I hate the cookie dough, activity cards, wrapping paper and all the other piddly things that the schools have you sell.

So we have our first annual Chapman Family Brisket Fundraiser. We took orders for dinners for 2 and 4 and 1 lb of brisket. We did various delivery times; weekends and schools. After everything was said and done we raised $400. I cooked 100 lbs of brisket, 90 potatoes, 90 rolls and 23 lbs of coleslaw. The house smelled great and yes I still like brisket. Next time we will probably only sale brisket and let the rest out.

With cooking that much brisket, I have refined my technique and type of brisket to purchase. Look for us again in the spring.
