Taking tests aren't bad. I don't even mind needles. It's the results that are not always the best no matter how you feel. One main reason for the mammogram was I have had a lump in my breast for about a year. It hadn't changed but due to my age in medical time lines a baseline is always a good start. In taking with some friends, at their yearly physical they always had blood work done. I never have, so I pushed to have it done this time for hormone levels.
First test results: On Wednesday, my nurse called to say that my thyroid was overproducing so I would have to come in for more blood work on Thursday. Just looking online at different treatment options, I don't like them. I'm not very good a taking pills on a regular basis.
Mammogram: After work I got a call from the hospital that the lump is denser than they like and they found something else in the other breast that's inconclusive. So on Monday I get to be squished again and an ultrasound.
Pap smear: While giving more blood for testing on my thyroid and my nurse tells me that the papsmear came back abnormal. What else can go wrong! It didn't bother me to much because I've had one come back before. But we have to have it sent out for more testing.
She then lets me know that this is the least of their worries in the whole sceam of things, are you getting upset. Well I would be lying if I said I didn't have my moments, but there is nothing I can due to anything at this point. So its a wait and see kinda thing.

OMG(osh) what a stressful day! I'm with you, don't mind the tests so much, it's usually the results that raise the stress levels. We're praying for you!
