I'm not falling apart

I saw both my doctors today.

The endocrinologist gave me a name for my condition, silent thyroiditis. Silent thyroiditis is inflammation of the thyroid gland that involves alternating hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism followed by recovery. YEA!! It's not a life-long condition. They are not sure what brings it on, but should go away within a year. There is a possibility that eventually I would develop hypothyroidism, but I can live with that in 10-15 years from now, when I'm REALLY OLD and I'm suppose to have problems.

The surgeon said everything looked good. The fibroid was benign. It doesn't increase my chances of breast cancer and since I'm past puberty, I probably won't get another one. YEA!!
