On Friday, we took the trains into the city and onto the Statue of Liberty. We missed meeting our tour group so we decided to try and make a go to the ferry on our own. We missed each other on the subway but caught up at the last stop. While buying our tickets for the Statue of Liberty, James found our tour group, so we jumped in with them. We had to stand in line for about an hour to get inside of Liberty. They have a great museum that walks you through the building of Liberty.
Going to Liberty and Ellis Islands took a little longer than expected. I wouldn't have missed it though. I had booked a hop on, hop off tour of downtown Manhattan. We rushed back to hop on before they stopped. It was great just to sit for away. We were on the top of the bus for all the sites. This was us going through Times Square.
